Native Wellness Institute
  Modern Day “Chiefs”
With Traditional Values

Not long ago… Native peoples fiercely protected and inhabited North America—from the East coast to the West, from the mountains to the desert. These many diverse tribes lived in harmony and balance. Each tribe was led by brave, wise men and women whom were given by their people the title of “chief.”

Today, this word is still used to define courage and leadership. It is my honor to present our Board of Directors—the chiefs—of the Native Wellness Institute. They lead our organization with fire and compassion in their hearts, and a commitment to preserving our culture for future generations.

                                    — Jillene Joseph (Gros Ventre), Executive Director
