Tohono O’odham

Dwight is an enrolled member of the Tohono O'odham Nation from the community of Little Tucson and is a father of 4, grandfather of 2 granddaughters and 2 grandsons. A former legal advocate for 15 years, and one who latter suffered from nearly a decade of alcohol addiction, is now in active recovery, is a male survivor of sexual abuse, and openly identified 2spirit member of the Healing community. As a spiritual advisor, White Bison Firestarter, GONA facilitator and Cultural Counselor he continues to provide cultural sensitive healing methods, while working with community members and organizations to educate, promote and facilitate spiritual wellness amongst the Phoenix Urban Native Community since 2017.
