About the Training

Native youth are as diverse as the number of stars in the sky. And it takes a person with many tools in their tool bag to effectively reach as many young people as possible. Whether you work with middle or high school students, older teens, and early 20’s or somewhere in between, this interactive and experiential training is for you.

Youth workers are most often life coaches- helping the young people they serve navigate life. They are also cultural advocates, assisting young people to learn and engage more in culture as a protective factor in life. And finally, youth workers help young people connect to themselves, their families, school, the community, culture, resources, each other, and more! This training will provide tool after tool to help you better serve the young people in your program.
