About the Training
The impact of historical and inter-generational trauma on tribal and urban communities can manifest itself in negative behaviors, such as chronic negativity, addictions, suicide, lateral oppression, and violence. These effects can also be felt in the workplace and among families. To address this issue, it is necessary to understand the ways in which trauma affects the brain and behavior, as well as how to create trauma-informed programs and policies. This three-day training will provide a deep understanding of these topics and help attendees learn how to address trauma in their own communities.
