About the TrainingThe Gathering of Native Americans (GONA) is an almost four-decade-old proven model to assist communities to heal from the lasting impacts of colonization. Historical and intergenerational trauma is at the root of hopelessness and healing is the answer to trauma. The GONA follows four developmental phases and values of Belonging, Mastery, Interdependence and Generosity.

Staff members in tribal and urban communities who work in prevention, promotion of culture, social service programs, youth workers, behavioral health staff, tribal leaders and others interested in bringing healing as a tool to address suicide in Indian Country.

Registrants who are unable to attend may send a replacement at no additional charge. Please provide us with the name of the replacement before the training. No refunds will be given for paid registrations, however, we can provide a credit for a future training. Training credits will expire after one year. If a participant is unable to attend and no cancellation is made prior to the training or replacement is made, the FULL amount of registration will be charged as a no-show fee.

From Seatac you can take a Taxi, Shuttle, or Ride Share from the airport to the Seattle Ferry Terminal and then take the ferry Bainbridge Island, from the Bainbridge Island terminal there is a free Clearwater Casino shuttle to the hotel. See links below for more information and schedules. You can also take the Link Light Rail from the airport to Pioneer Square and then just a short walk about 4 blocks to the ferry terminal.
