Wanda batchelor

Wanda is an enrolled member of the Washoe Tribe of Nevada & California and also descends from the Nisenan people. She was the first woman elected chairwoman of her tribe and supported much healing and wellness work in her communities. In her retirement, she remains active with the tribe's elder committee and Wanda has been instrumental in language and culture revitalization, including publishing three language books. "I am so honored and excited to join the board of directors of the Native Wellness Institute. I know we will continue to do great things."
