The Workplace Wellness and Leadership training is intended for any tribal or urban Native organization employee who desires to further develop their leadership skills by integrating various wellness in the workplace focus areas into their program, tribe or agency. Each day will focus on a different area and the topics represent the most requested topics that NWI receives from Indian Country.

Day 1: Lateral Oppression and Lateral Kindness
Day 2: Conflict Resolution, Staff Mediation and Reconciliation
Day 3: Cultural Connection, Building Team and Self Care

A team of NWI facilitators will lead you through these topics and how you can take the teachings back to your place of work as well as use the tools for your own personal and professional growth and development.

Included with the Discounted Resort fee of $20
  • Beach Rentals: Guests can select from a wide range of items from Beach Candy Waikiki, located at The Twin Fin Hotel, 2570 Kalakaua Avenue to enhance their beach and ocean experience. For each night of stay each guest room will receive 3 daily credits that can be applied towards rentals to include; Surfboards, Paddleboards, Beach Chairs, Umbrellas, Beach Toys and more! Guests reserve their rentals using their daily credits upon arrival to the resort. Other activities at Beach Candy such as Fitness Classes, Surf Lessons and more can be booked at an additional cost.
  • Bottled Water: Two complimentary locally-sourced bottles of water per room, per stay. Purified water stations also available in resort lobby.
  • Fitness Center: Daily access to Fit Waikiki Wellness Center.
  • Hawaiian Cultural Classes: Classes include Queen’s legacy tour, lei making, hula lessons and Hawaiian lessons.
  • In-Room Coffee: Enjoy a selection of signature ‘Alohilani coffee by Hawaiian Paradise Coffee and tea from the convenience of your guest room.
  • Internet Access: Wireless high speed internet access in guest rooms and throughout the resort.
  • Oceanarium Educational Program: Conducted by the ‘Alohilani Oceanarium dive team. See daily event listing for details.
  • Parking: Pay for Self-Parking and be upgraded to Valet Parking service for the first night of your stay.
  • Phone Calls: Unlimited local calls and up to 60 minutes long distance/international telephone calls per day.
  • Portable Phone Chargers: Available for use from Guest Services.
  • Self-service 24-hour workspace: complimentary boarding pass printing and copying services.
  • Surfboard Storage: self-serve locking surfboard racks with unlimited use during your stay (subject to availability).

  • Confirmation letters will show the retail resort fee, which will be adjusted to the group rate at check-in. 
  • Guests will only need a credit card to secure their reservation; payment will be processed at check-out with no prepayment necessary.
  • Guests can cancel or modify their reservations up to 72 hours before arrival.

+ Cancelation Policy +

Registrants who are unable to attend may send a replacement at no additional charge. Please provide us with the name of the replacement before the training. No refunds will be given for paid registrations, however, we can provide a credit for a future training. Training credits will expire after one year. If a participant is unable to attend and no cancellation is made prior to the training or replacement is made, the FULL amount of registration will be charged as a no-show fee.
