The Workplace Wellness and Leadership training is intended for any tribal or urban Native organization employee who desires to further develop their leadership skills by integrating various wellness in the workplace focus areas into their program, tribe, or agency. Each day will focus on a different area, and the topics represent the most requested topics that NWI receives from Indian Country.

Day 1: Lateral Oppression and Lateral Kindness
Day 2: Conflict Resolution, Staff Mediation and Reconciliation
Day 3: Cultural Connection, Building Team, and Self Care

A team of NWI facilitators will lead you through these topics and how you can take the teachings back to your place of work as well as use the tools for your own personal and professional growth and development.

  • Beach Rentals: Guests can select from a wide range of items from Beach Candy Waikiki, located at The Twin Fin Hotel, 2570 Kalakaua Avenue, to enhance their beach and ocean experience. For each night of stay, each guest room will receive 3 daily credits that can be applied towards rentals to include: Surfboards, Paddleboards, Beach Chairs, Umbrellas, Beach Toys, and more! Guests reserve their rentals using their daily credits upon arrival at the resort. Other activities at Beach Candy, such as Fitness Classes, Surf Lessons, and more, can be booked at an additional cost.

  • Confirmation letters will show the retail resort fee, which will be adjusted to the group rate at check-in. 
  • Guests will only need a credit card to secure their reservation; payment will be processed at check-out with no prepayment necessary.
  • If cancellation is made within seventy-two (72) hours of arrival, a one (1) night deposit will be retained as a cancellation fee. A No-Show charge of one (1) night’s room and tax will be retained as a cancellation for any individuals who fail to show for their confirmed reservation. An early departure fee of 50% of one night’s room rate will apply if a customer attendee checks out prior to the confirmed checkout date.

+ Cancellation/substitution Policy +

By registering, I acknowledge and agree to the following:  
If I am unable to attend, I may designate a replacement participant at no additional charge, provided that written notice (via email) of the replacement's name is received by the Native Wellness Institute before the training begins. All registration fees are non-refundable. A one-time credit may be issued for a future training of equal or lesser value if cancellation is made in advance. Such credits must be used within twelve (12) months of the originally scheduled training date, after which they will expire. If I do not attend and fail to provide either a timely cancellation or a replacement, the full registration fee will be retained as a no-show fee.​
